No matter what culture or religion, we can assist you with all the finer details of putting together a memorial ceremony that reflects. With full venue facilities available, on site catering, licensed premises and ample parking available.

Warm, inviting & open
Our venue offers something quite different from your standard funeral home or hall. The memorial service would be located in front of our large schist fireplace, which has a large peaked ceiling, but also surrounded by glass to give you that feeling of being part of nature.
This area works well for intimate funerals but can seat over 200 if required. We can also open the venue for further seating in our main events space ensuring ample space for much larger funerals.
Food & Beverage
Choose the meal that is right for you
Each of our memorial service packages include catering, giving you freedom to have a very simple meal or alternatively enjoy a feast with your close family and friends while you reminisce. All of our catering options include tea, filter coffee, water and orange juice.
$25pp Simple nibbles – Club sandwiches, selection of hot savouries, homemade scones with preserves & cream.
$35pp Nibbles selection – This selection expands on the simple nibbles menu including more hot items and a selection of sweet treats.
$60pp Premium mingling menu – This selection is an entire meal for your family and friends with a generious selection of mini meals for guests to enjoy. Starting with the best of our nibbles selection followed by a number of small portions served in individual bowls.
$95pp Full buffet meal – An extensive buffet with ample for everyone.
Included in your venue hire is more than just a venue
When hiring our venue we include a number of items as part of our inclusive package at no additional cost. These include:
PA sound system – Garden, surround & funeral ceremony speakers
Cordless microphones – Two cordless microphones available
Funeral ceremony seating – We provide a seat for everyone who is attending
Table Settings – We have seating for guests when enjoying their meal
Staffing – We provide staffing as part of our event costs
Backup Generator – If we lose power, we have a backup ready to go

Space to reminise
One of the amazing features of using Markovina Estate for your loved ones memorial service is that you can enjoy the expansive gardens that we have to offer. Sometimes you just want to pause and take a walk in nature, sometimes being able to escape for a moment can help.
On a wet day we have ample indoor space but on a sunny day there are so many spaces to see and enjoy, you and your guests have freedom to use our entire gardens.
Our pricing does differ depending on what menu option you select. We have included details of some of our menu options above, however we are more than happy to create a specific menu for you. Our pricing consists of:
Venue hire: $1,500 up to 100 guests, OR $2,000 between 100 & 150 guests, OR $2,500 over 150 guests
Food service: Select the menu you want, there is a $1,500 minimum spend for food.
Beverage service: Beverages can be a cash bar or you can authorise an allocated bar tab.
Memorial Services FAQ
What is the minimum spend to use your venue for a memorial service?
It is $3,000 which include your venue hire for up to 80 guests plus $1,500 put towards catering.
Can we BYO?
Sorry no, we don’t have a BYO option however you can simply run a cash bar for your guests. We also have EFTPOS facilities.
How long are we able to be at the venue?
Venue hire is for up to four hours. This include one hour prior to the ceremony. When you choose a buffet meal this this is extended by an hour.
What are your minimum numbers?
You can have a very intimate service for just your close family. There is no minimum number that you need to book.
When do I need to confirm numbers?
We do need your best estimate 72 hours prior. This is invoiced and paid prior to your day, we will arrange to cater for that number of guests. If on the day you have a few more guests that arrive our kitchen is able to increase the amount of food to cater for the increased guests.
