Taste the difference
At Markovina Estate we take great pride in providing a great dining and culinary experience on your wedding day. The wedding package includes our delicious range of canapés, a choice between our buffet, sharing platters or plated menu, and our dessert buffet along with our all-inclusive beverage package. Our beverage package includes wine, beer and non-alcoholic refreshments for you and your guests throughout the day.
Our menus cater for gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian guests and we can also accommodate any other dietary requirements.
Our wedding pack gives sample menus for you to review and we are happy to discuss any specific changes you may require for your special day.
A refreshing start
On arrival, your guests are greeted and welcomed on to the Estate, with juice and water available on our outdoor bar. Guests can arrive 30 minutes prior to the agreed ceremony start time, and are welcome to explore the gardens during this time. We have plenty of onsite parking available.
For the bridal parties, we have our newly built bridal room available for an hour prior to the ceremony start time. This room is a great place to store any bags and touch up hair and make up.

Enjoy your canapés
At the conclusion of your ceremony, our friendly staff serve guests a glass of bubbly or sparkling grape juice to celebrate the newly-weds and toast the happy couple in the beautiful landscaped gardens of our estate – a magical start to a perfect day.
As the bridal party wanders the estate for photos, our range of delicious canapés are served, during which time our bar will be open for your guests to enjoy refreshments. We also have our garden games situated around the property for your guests to enjoy while during you are creating memorable moments for the wedding album.
Your Main Meal (The Wedding Breakfast)
Spoilt for choice
As a part of our wedding package, our tasty range of canapés, main meal and dessert selection are all included. Our canapés and dessert offering are the same for each menu type, however you can choose to have our popular buffet menu, our sharing platters menu, which is like a mini buffet served to each table, or our plated dinner service for your main meal.
Our buffet menu allows you to have a greater choice in creating your individual menu and more freedom with your table design, as you are not limited by the selection of platters being delivered to your tables. As our most popular menu selection, the buffet is set up in a purpose-built room, is fast moving and provides a variety of dishes for your guests to choose from.
Sharing Platters Meal
The sharing platters menu means your guests can enjoy the ambiance of your special day while their meal is presented to them. Essentially your guests are served a “mini buffet” to the table and are not limited by one particular menu selection and can indulge in an impressive array of menu choices offering a large variety.
Included in our plated meal, we offer two main courses alternatively served to your and a dessert buffet. We do offer the option for your guests to choose on the day at $15 per person which includes two mains and a vegetarian option for your guests to select from, plus a set entree served prior to the main course.
Sweets, Coffee & Cheese
A sweet finish
To provide the perfect finish to your wedding meal, we serve a selection of individual sweet treats for your guests to indulge in. This is served as a buffet, together with a fresh fruit platter and cheese selection. Our freshly brewed coffee and tea selection is also available for your guests throughout the day.
We ensure that every one of your guests is fully satisfied and has plenty of energy to dance the night away celebrating your wedding.
Your drinks included
Included in our wedding package, is our popular beverage selection. The beverage package is inclusive in the per-person price for six hours, and includes our standard selection of wine, beer and non-alcoholic refreshments throughout your stay.
On your wedding day you and your guests are there to relay and enjoy your wedding reception, they are welcome to indulge but not to overindulge. The inclusive beverage package means you will not have any surprises or additional charges during that period for the beverages included in our package. However we will not serve anyone who is intoxicated, will become intoxicated if served or is underage.
We also offer a wide range of low and non alcoholic refreshments to accompany our beverage package. Our current inclusive beverage package is:
- Wine Selection: Kumeu River – Village series (Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir & Merlot);
- Beer Selection: Heineken, Stella, Stienlager Classic, Speights, Heineken Light, Heineken 0.0% & DB Export Citrus light
- Sparkling Selection: Pol Remy Brut (France) & Jacobs Creek Mascatto
- Non Alcoholic Selection: Sparkling Grape-juice, Orange Juice, Coke, Sprite & Water

Menu & Beverages FAQ
Can we BYO alcohol?
If you have a special bottle of bubbly you would like to open on the evening, we can arrange this for your bridal table, otherwise unfortunately we do not allow any other BYO beverages.
Can we bring in our own caterers?
We do have our own kitchens and chefs onsite, so we do not allow outside catering. However, if you do want changes to our menus please simply talk to us about options.
Does your menu cater for gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian guests?
Yes, we do have specific dishes available in each of our menus to cater for these requirements. We can also cater for other specific requirements when requested.
