You can hire our venue exclusively for your next event or if you have a smaller company we have option to either join into one of our combined mid year or Christmas parties or hire one of our event spaces exclusively for your dining.

Located on 10 acres Markovina Estate has amazing gardens for you and your colleagues to relax and explore while enjoying the hospitality this family owned business has to offer.
Onsite we have croquet, petanque and giant jenga plus you are welcome to use our expansive lawn area to arrange other games and activities.
Our also have a music system through our gardens to help with the ambiance of your event.

We have recently completed a renovation of our covered courtyard, in summer our huge glass sliders can fully open up the venue or on a cold wet day we can close everything up and we can warm you with our huge stone fireplace.
When hiring our venue exclusively for your company our covered courtyard is the perfect mingling space followed by dining in our main events room where you enjoy eating under a canopy of vines able to look out to our expansive gardens.

Our Main Event Space
An outdoor experience inside with a canopy of vines overhead & walls of glass to enjoy the views to the outdoors. This area if prefect for companies between 55 and 225.
Our Covered Courtyard
Fully enclosed with a combination of huge glass sliding doors & complimented by an Otago brown schist fireplace that sets the ambiance of the space. Perfect for mingling or events up to 100 guests.
Exclusive vs combined event
Choosing the right event for your guest numbers
If you are looking at an exclusive event, please talk to us about options when you book. We are a relatively large venue and during peak times we do have larger minimum numbers to hire our venue exclusively for your company.
We open a number of events (in particular at Christmas time) where smaller companies can book into our Combined Christmas party events. This way you get the benefit of the energy and cost saving a larger group offers.
Food & Beverage
Choose the meal that is right for you
All of our standard packages includes canapes served on platters as your guests mingle and then after the main meal dessert, cheese selection, tea and coffee.
Our combined events usually serve a buffet meal, however when hiring our venue exclusively you have the choice of serving:
Buffet Meal – An extensive buffet with ample for everyone
Platters to the Table – A mini buffet served to your table
Plated Meal – With a generous delicious serving to your plate
We offer more than just an events space
When hiring our venue we include a number of items as part of our inclusive package at no additional cost. These include:
PA Sound System – Garden, surround & dancing speakers
Cordless Microphones – Two cordless microphones available
LED Screens – Two installed 65 inch LED screens available for use
Table Settings – Selection of vases you are welcome to use
Staffing – We provide staffing as part of our event costs
Backup Generator – If we lose power, we have a backup ready to go
Theming your event
You don't need to have a theme, but if you do....
The most popular event we offer is our Dine & Dance package. Which includes venue, meal, DJ and beverages. However you can choose to add a theme to your event. Some popular themes are:
Boogie Nights – We organise venue theming, DJ & MC
Medieval Feast – We organise venue theming, DJ, live entertainment
Western Night – We use outside theming companies for these events
Round the World – We provide themed meal stations for you to enjoy
Married to the Mob – We use conartists entertainment for this event
Comedy on Stage – We use conartists entertainment for this event
YO-HO-HO and a bottle of Fun – We use conartists for this event

Pricing & Packages
How much will our event cost
Our pricing does differ depending on the day and time of year you are looking at. We have smaller minimum numbers for exclusive events during off peak dates. We can tailor packages for you however the cost of our most popular event is:
Dine & Dance Event – $119 + GST per person
Including: Venue; Dine & dance menu (canapes, buffet meal, dessert, coffee & cheese selection); Four hour beverage package & DJ
Depending on your guest numbers & date your price may vary.

Staff Work Parties FAQ
Do you have cheaper options?
Yes, if you contact us with the details of your event and what you are looking at doing we can price a package specifically for you. The main item that effects price is what is included in the package, what date you want & your guest numbers.
Do you have an option with a cash bar?
Yes, we can price an event without our exclusive package however if we are running a combined event this usually includes our inclusive beverage package.
How much alcohol is included in the package?
There is no predetermined limit on the inclusive beverage package. However, we will not serve intoxicated persons or minors.
What are your minimum numbers?
We can book groups as small as 10 into our combined Christmas and mid year parties, however to open a new date this is usually based on a minimum of 60 or more. For exclusive events the minimum numbers are usually larger.
